Most Perfect

Winston Legacy

Harry Winston acquires the “most perfect diamond”. “Winston Legacy.” In 2013 Harry Winston, Inc. acquires the D-color 101.73-carat Winston Legacy diamond. The flawless, colorless pear-shaped stunner is described by Christie’s auction house as “the most perfect diamond ever offered for sale at auction.”

The Graff

The pink diamond ring bought by legendary jeweller Laurence Graff in 2010. Immediately after the auction at Sotheby’s Geneva, the 24.78 carat diamond, was renamed The Graff Pink. At the time, Mr Graff said the emerald-cut Fancy Intense pink gem was “the most fabulous diamond” he had ever laid eyes on in his 35-year career. Set into a platinum ring flanked by two shield-shaped white diamonds, the Graff Pink was previously owned by American jeweller Harry Winston.

The Graff

The Graff Venus weighs an impressive 118.78 carats, making it the largest flawless heart-shape diamond ever to be certified by the Gemological Institute of America or GIA. And that, presumably, makes it the largest heart-shape diamond in the world.

Blue Diamond

The Oppenheimer

The Oppenheimer Blue diamond has entered the history books as one of the world’s most expensive diamonds at Christie’s Geneva. This 14.62ct Vivid Blue diamond has become one of the most expensive diamonds ever sold at auction.

Dubbed the “gem of gems”, the emerald-cut blue diamond was named after the late Sir Philip Oppenheimer who oversaw De Beers’ mining operations and had given the stone to his wife. The largest and best quality Vivid blue diamond to ever appear at auction, it is set into a ring and flanked by two smaller, trapezoid-shaped white diamonds.

The Delaire

The world’s largest fancy vivid yellow diamond weighing a staggering total of 118.08 carats and featuring a square emerald cut done by one of the world’s best cutters, Nino Bianco, taking over one year to complete.

The Cullinan

Dream Diamond

The ‘Cullinan Dream’ Fetches Record at Christie’s in New York, achieving a record auction price for a fancy intense blue diamond, according to Petra Diamonds.

The cut-cornered rectangular mixed-cut, 24.18-carat, VS2 diamond sold at Christie’s Magnificent Jewels sale.

Petra, which announced the discovery of the original 122.52-carat rough at its Cullinan mine in South Africa in June 2014, will receive a 15-percent share in the sales proceeds from the polished. The miner sold the rough into a cutting and polishing partnership in September 2014. The stone was cut into four polished diamonds, of which the Cullinan Dream is the largest.
